These days we can buy a “How to” book on everything, car
maintenance, having a baby, building a conservatory and of
course how to make money a thousand different ways even if you
are a trapeze artist! But the most important lesson that we NEED
to learn is “How to be Happy” and there seems to have been a
glaring omission in this instance.
Amanda has been asked constantly why she appears to be so happy
even though her life has been fraught with much difficulty and
sadness, that it brought back to her just how unhappy most woman
are. She has spent the last 5 years analysing this question and
preparing the answers in an effort to help women cope with their
lives and understand the steps they need to take to achieve this
illusive happiness.
In her inspirational talks she shares with us how to deal with
Divorce, abuse, regret, blame, fear, change and in fact all the
emotional scenarios that plunge women into depression and
despair. These interactive talks can be tailor made to suit the
time allowed from one hour to four hours and she enjoys dealing
with the personal problems of delegates that may wish to discuss
their difficulties with her.
We all know that we want to be happy and that we should be, and
we believed happiness would be ours with the more we acquired
materially, often this is not the case and we are still
dissatisfied. Amanda acquired many things including fame and
some fortune but also the realisation that it was her
responsibility to find that happiness within herself.
South Africa is one of the most stressful countries to live in
and greed, divorce and dissatisfaction seems to be the order of
the day, so Amanda explains to women how to change their
approach to situations so that they can change their results and
can ultimately cope better. Instead of saying “I will be happy
WHEN I have a new house, car or lover” etc. we can start to say
“I am happy now”.
Amanda is not only a comedienne, Radio and T.V. Presenter, voice
artist, M.C. at corporate functions etc. she is a woman who has
supported herself since she was 16, worked all over the world,
visited over 30 countries and gained a lot of her education from
life. She believes that you should be able to have fun most of
the time, which comes across in her talks.
THE SECRET OF HAPPINESS IS NOT FOUND IN SEEKING MORE BUT IN
DEVELOPING THE CAPACITY TO ENJOY LESS
