Des Meyer is a Master of Ceremonies, Guest Speaker and Comedian. He is also a top class impersonator. He works as a professional comedian performing a 45-50 minute show wherein he tells of the fun and pitfalls of being a South African. He uses his excellent impersonation repertoire to bring famous and infamous South Africans "out of their closets" and "victims "include politicians, sportsmen, musicians, and the ordinary man in the street. Don works as Master of Ceremonies for various sporting events, golf days and corporate dinners and his style is humorous - keeping his audience in stitches with stories about being "Proudly South African", taking tongue-in-cheek swipes at our education system, our fondness for the sunny skies, boerewors and of course…….. the beer. He is very knowledgeable about sport and has appeared at many rugby dinners, and cricket prizegivings as both MC and as a comedian. Des is also an experienced auctioneer and has raised much money for various charity orgnisations by auctioning sports memorabilia. Des does not use foul language during his shows and is one of the few entertainers who does not have to be crude to be good. Des is also a singer. He writes radio jingles and just as he is able to impersonate famous personalities, he is able to impersonate the stars, singing like Joe Cocker, Elvis Presly, Tom Jones, Pavarotti, Willie Nelson, Julio Iglesias, Bob Dylan and many more
