Amor has stamped her mark in the entertainment world. A former Miss Johannesburg, Amor received her Honours Degree in Communication (cum laude), was head-girl of her school and excelled in sport - winning several awards on the academic and sports field. She was the South African Tap and Modern dance champion for seven straight years, which served her well in the State Theatre musical "West Side Story" and in Richard Loring's production of "Girl Talk". As well as having presented television shows like "Legkaart Bonanza", "Junior Topsport", M - Net's "Spot-on", "Mainly for Men” on e-TV, the National Lottery on SABC2, “Top Billing” , "In die kryt met Joost en Amor" on Kyknet and M-Net and the ABSA game show on SABC 3, she is no stranger to the limelight, having built a reputation for herself as being a dedicated, humble and most importantly, talented performer on all levels. Each new project for Amor is another challenge that she tackles to perfection. Amor has been involved in producing and choreographing many stage shows, starring in TV promotions and adverts and currently acts as compere, motivational speaker, television presenter and singer. She has the ability to make people feel good about themselves with subtle charm and elegance. Amor is the most publicised celebrity in the country with her popular features gracing magazine covers of almost every magazine in South Africa. These include "Fair Lady", "Keur", "Huisgenoot", "You", "Sarie", "Finesse", "FHM", "Wiel", "Rooi Rose", "Insig", "Vroue Keur", "Tydskrif Rapport", "Sunday Times Magazine", "De Kat", "Personality", "Die Lig" and "Longevity" Amor released her fifth album with Select music company during September 2006. Voluit is an Afrikaans album which includes three English tracks. Angel, dedicated to her daughter Kylie, Show me heaven and I will love again. This album showcases her true talent, energy and versatility. It is sexy, yet captivating and exciting. Her live show electrifies with a dance extravaganza not to be missed. This album follows her previous albums Wild Cherry kisses (1998) EMI Dance in Colours (2000) EMI Young Forever (2002) EMI and amor (2005) Gallo Music In December 2002 Amor married the Rugby Legend, Joost v.d.Westhuizen during a fairy tale wedding. They are the proud parents of a son, Jordan and a daughter Kylie. Together they are patrons of many charity organizations. They have also registered their own charity, namely “The Joost and Amor –childrens trust”. These funds are distributed amongst various children homes and recently Cotlands was the beneficiary.
