many months of hard work and continual rehearsal, Africa 2000
have emerged as one of SA's finest function bands, featuring the
cream of our country's musical ‘crop' by merging the talents of
the ever popular ‘Sting' gala band with African counterparts of
equal stature (including the talented Marilyn Nokwe from Mango
Groove).
The group has
developed a repertoire not easily matched – from Blues and
African Shebeen music to well loved international dance
standards ‘Mama Themba's Wedding' to ‘New York, New York',
‘Jabulani' to ‘Paradise Road', ‘Unforgettable' to ‘Give me hope
Joanna' This superb outfit has them all! Presented in a
sophisticated combinati on of black tuxedos and African
