On 30 May 2003,
at 11.15am, South African Sean Wisedale reached the summit of
the highest of all mountains - Mount Everest, towering over the
earth at 8850m. It was, understandably, an emotional moment of
celebration and thanksgiving. The Discovery Everest team had
struggled for two months against the worst weather seen on the
mountain in decades - and was finally forced to admit defeat;
however, a series of circumstances that could not have been
planned-for, gave Sean an unexpected chance to try just once
more – and the rest, as they say, is history!
What makes this surfer, yachtsman, adventure specialist and
internationally-recognised film-maker a unique individual.
Through the powerful visuals he captured on mountain, experience
the essence of high-risk adventure and share the climax of
success in a presentation which turns the lessons of nature into
the lessons of life.
